What's on in Alaró
Alaró is a small inland Mallorcan town at the foot of the Tramuntana, best known for the hike up to the Castell d'Alaró, a ruined castle on a crag with a mountain refuge and long views. It's an unhurried, arty sort of place — stone houses, a café-lined square, walkers passing through — well away from the coastal resorts.
Summer brings the "Alè" open-air concert series and Alart, a night when the town turns into an open-air art gallery. Sant Joan's eve is marked with the Festa de la Flama, and there's open-air cinema in Catalan. Here's what's on while you're here.
