Sa Fira Spring Fair
One of Mallorca's most traditional spring fairs, filling the village with local produce and craft stalls, livestock, gastronomy, folk music and 'ball de bot' traditional dancing. The 2026 edition was on 29 March; the next edition is expected in late March 2027.
For one day each spring the whole of Santa Margalida turns into the fair. Craft and produce stalls line the streets, a little train shuttles people out to Son Mas for the livestock and a sheepdog competition, and you'll find old farming tools being put through their paces alongside a row of classic cars. There's a food-truck zone if you want something quick, but the part worth hanging around for is the Picada Vilera in the evening, when the village bars set up tapas and drinks in the main square with a band playing.
Expect ball de bot dancing through the afternoon, a few children's attractions, and a DJ to see things out after dark. It's free, properly local, and an easy detour if you're in northern Mallorca. The 2026 fair fell on 29 March; the next one is likely late March 2027.
