Let's All Dine Together (White Night Dinner)
A communal dinner on the Portopetro waterfront where everyone dresses in white, with raffles and giveaways during the Sant Joan festivities. Tickets must be bought in advance at local shops, so plan ahead.
This is the sort of evening that makes a small Mallorcan port feel like one big extended family. On the eve of Sant Joan, tables are laid out along the Fishermen's Wharf in Portopetro and everyone turns up dressed in white, the dress code more a gentle nudge than a rule. Dinner kicks off around half eight, with the water right there beside you and raffles drawn between courses, so there's always a chance you'll wander home with a prize.
It's run by the local Neighbours and Friends Association, and it shows in the easy, unhurried feel of the thing. Tickets sell at shops in Portopetro and s'Alqueria, but only until 20 June, so sort yours before you arrive. Buy ahead, wear something white, and turn up ready to chat with whoever ends up next to you.
