Calesfonts Summer Market (Daily)
The Calesfonts open-air market reopens for the summer with 11 stalls running every evening overlooking the picturesque port. Browse textiles, leather goods, jewellery and accessories while strolling the waterfront before dinner at one of the harbour restaurants.
Calesfonts is the prettiest stretch of harbour in Es Castell, a row of waterfront restaurants tucked into the old quay, and on summer evenings a line of eleven stalls sets up along Miranda Street just before the ramp drops down to the water. It runs from half seven at night until the small hours, so this is an after-dark wander rather than a daytime errand. Expect textiles, leather goods, jewellery and the usual holiday odds and ends, nothing fancy, but pleasant to browse with the boats below and a drink waiting.
A word of warning if you're driving: in summer the town centre parking is for residents only, so leave the car at one of the free car parks on the edge of town and walk in. It's a short stroll, and honestly the approach on foot is half the charm.
