Es Castell Night Market (Mercat de Nit)
A summer-evening artisan night market along the scenic Calesfonts harbour, with 25 stalls selling handmade textiles, jewellery, crochet, ceramics, illustrations, leather goods and gifts. From 6 July onwards live open-air music ('Musica a la fresca') accompanies the Monday-evening market.
Calesfonts is one of those little harbours that comes into its own after dark, and on Monday evenings through the summer the stalls set up along the Miranda with the water and the port entrance just below. Around 25 sellers spread out their wares: handmade ceramics, jewellery, crochet and textiles sit alongside leather goods, illustrations and the odd bit of clothing, so it's worth a slow wander rather than a quick look.
Things get going around half seven and keep running late, which suits the rhythm here — browse a few stalls, then drift off to one of the waterside restaurants for dinner. From early July the markets pick up live open-air music too, "Musica a la fresca", which gives the evening a bit more of a lift. Entry is free. One practical note: parking near the harbour is for residents in the evenings, so use the edge-of-town car parks or walk in.
