What's on in Los Llanos de Aridane

Los Llanos de Aridane is the main town of La Palma's sunny western side, spread across the broad Aridane valley below the volcanoes, with the black-sand beaches of Puerto Naos and the resort strip down at the coast. It's the island's liveliest town, with a walkable old centre full of murals and laurel-shaded plazas, and a good base for the western beaches and the Cumbre Vieja peaks.

The year's high point is the patron-saint festival of Our Lady of Los Remedios, the town's main fiesta of processions and street celebration, while the Playas de Aridane open-water swim draws swimmers to the coast in summer. Here's what's on while you're here.
