What's on in San Fulgencio

San Fulgencio lies on the flat farmland of the Vega Baja, near the river Segura at the southern end of the Costa Blanca, with its beach district at La Marina down by Guardamar's pine-backed sands. The original village is a small, traditional Spanish place, while La Marina has one of the largest concentrations of British and Northern-European residents on the coast.

Its calendar mixes both worlds. The patron saint fiestas honour the Virgen del Remedio, and the Fiesta del Carmen carries the fishermen's patron with celebrations by the water. Food fans should time a visit for the San Fulgencio Tapas Route, now in its ninth year. Here's what's on while you're here.
