Casablanca Beach Summer Festival (Festes d'Estiu)
Almenara's main summer beach fiesta at Playa Casablanca: roughly two weeks of open-air concerts, craft and seafaring fairs, sports races, children's activities, bull-running events and processions, climaxing on Sant Roc patron day (16 August). The 2026 dates are confirmed once the town publishes the July program.
Almenara's beach district hands itself over to a fortnight of fiesta each August, and most of it spills out onto the sand and the streets around the Parc Municipal. Expect a town-band concert under the trees, a Volta a Peu fun run to kick things off, craft and seafaring stalls, and plenty laid on for kids. There are bous al carrer too, the Valencian street-bull tradition, including a gentler version where children push little wooden carts. Sant Roc, the patron, gets his day on 16 August with the usual procession.
The one to catch is the Xixo Xixero, which closes the lot: families parade through the old beach streets carrying melon-rind lanterns, trailed by dolçaina and tabal players. Most events are free. The full programme usually lands in July, so check before you set a date.
