Fiestas de Santa Ana 2026 — Roquetas de Mar
The old port district of Roquetas throws its patron-saint fiesta with verbenas, processions and seafront fireworks.
Hard on the heels of the Virgen del Carmen, the historic port district of Roquetas de Mar celebrates its own patron, Santa Ana, around 26 July. It's the old town's big week: verbenas and live music on the seafront, a religious procession, fairground attractions and the customary fireworks over the water to send the fiesta off.
What to expect. A neighbourhood patron-saint fiesta with a strong local turnout, centred on the atmospheric port quarter rather than the resort strip. The programme runs over several days around Santa Ana's day — confirm dates locally.
Practical bit. Roquetas stretches a long way along the coast, and the port fiesta is at the older, southern end. A hire car makes getting between the port, the resort and the wider Costa de Almería — Cabo de Gata, Almería city, the Alpujarra foothills — much simpler.
