Patron Saint Festivals of the Diví Salvador and Moors and Christians
The village's main annual patron-saint fiesta in honour of the Diví Salvador, culminating on 6 August. Expect street parades (pasacalles), a Moors and Christians grand parade, open-air verbena dances, a Night of Paellas, correfocs (fire runs) and a closing fireworks display. The official festive day is 6 August; in recent years the full programme has run from around 30/31 July, but the 2026 dates were not yet published at time of writing.
This is els Poblets at full tilt: a small Costa Blanca village turning its streets over to a week of fiesta for the Diví Salvador, building to the patron's day on 6 August. The brass-led pasacalles wind through the centre, and the Moors and Christians grand parade is the set piece, rival columns in heavy embroidered costume marching to drums you feel in your chest.
Evenings loosen up. Open-air verbena dances run well past midnight, and at the Night of Paellas the whole village cooks over coals and smells of saffron and woodsmoke. The correfocs are the wild card, sparks flung about at close quarters, so stand back and wear something you don't mind singeing. It closes with a proper firework display, and it's free to wander in. Recent years have started around 30 July, but the 2026 dates weren't confirmed when we wrote this.
