Puerto de Mazarrón Night Market
A summer night market along the seafront promenade with local crafts, ceramics, jewellery and street food stalls. Just stroll in any Thursday evening from July through August.
Come Thursday, the seafront promenade fills up after the heat finally drops. Stalls line the paseo from around 8pm, run by local artisans rather than the usual import-and-sell crowd: Murcian ceramics, handmade jewellery, a bit of designer clothing, and the smell of street food drifting along the front. There's usually live music too, played by local musicians, which keeps the mood easy rather than rowdy.
It's an unhurried, family sort of evening. People wander, eat something, double back for the stall they liked, and let the kids run about. Trading carries on late, often until the small hours, so there's no rush to arrive early. Entry is free, the sea is right there, and it makes a pleasant excuse for a slow stroll on a warm night.
