Feria de Almería 2026
Almería city's nine-day patron fair fills the streets with casetas, parades and round-the-clock celebration.
The Feria de Almería is the city's great end-of-summer blowout, honouring the Virgen del Mar across nine days in late August. There are really two fairs in one: the feria de día that takes over the centre with music, food and dancing, and the feria de noche at the sprawling Recinto Ferial, where casetas, concerts and a fairground keep going into the early hours. It overlaps with the Cooltural music festival, so the whole city is alive at once.
What to expect. Daytime street celebrations and all-night fairground fun, parades, fireworks and a packed concert programme. It's one of Andalusia's biggest fairs and the city is at full tilt throughout.
Practical bit. Almería rewards a wider trip — the Cabo de Gata-Níjar volcanic coast, the Tabernas desert film sets and Mojácar are all close. A hire car lets you base yourself on a quieter beach and drive into the feria, then sleep off the late nights away from the noise.
