SkyFest Benidorm: Taburete in Concert

Taburete bring their 'El Perro Que Fuma' tour to Benidorm on 5 August, playing the brand-new SkyFest stage out at the Ciudad Deportiva Guillermo Amor. It's a big open-air site, built to hold up to 20,000, with proper sound panels and a strict cut-off time so the neighbours can sleep. The setting is more sports-ground-turned-arena than seaside terrace, but that's the trade-off for a crowd this size.

Worth being honest about the fit: Taburete are a Madrid pop-rock band with a devoted Spanish following, and the singing along will be in Spanish. If you don't speak the language you'll miss the lyrics that the crowd lives for. But the choruses are big and easy to catch, the energy is high, and on a warm August night it's a proper Spanish gig.
