SexiFest Almuñécar 2026
Almuñécar's summer concert series on the Costa Tropical — a run of Spanish star names across late July and August.
SexiFest takes its name from Sexi, the ancient Phoenician name for Almuñécar, and it has become the Costa Tropical's biggest summer draw. Spread across several nights in late July and early August, it brings a line-up of well-known Spanish artists to an open-air stage in the town, pulling crowds to this otherwise quiet stretch of the Granada coast.
What to expect. Big-name Spanish pop, rock and flamenco-fusion acts on warm summer nights, with the relaxed feel of a seaside town that isn't used to the spotlight. It's a chance to see major Spanish performers without the prices or scrum of the bigger festivals.
Practical bit. Almuñécar sits on the coast about an hour east of Málaga airport, tucked beneath the hills with a microclimate that grows tropical fruit. The concert venue is in town; evenings are balmy. A hire car is well worth having here — both for the coast road's coves and for the spectacular run up to Granada and the Alhambra, little more than an hour inland.
Tickets sell through the usual Spanish outlets; check the town's listings for the year's confirmed line-up and dates.
