Sea Baptism (Try Sailing / On-the-Water Intro)

If you've ever watched the dinghies skim out past Castelldefels beach and fancied a go yourself, this is your chance to actually try it. The local Nautical Club runs these "first taste of the sea" sessions straight off the sand, taking complete beginners out on the water for a proper feel of wind, ropes and a bit of salt spray. No kit, no experience and no fee required.

This is the last session of the spring-summer run, so it's worth sorting sooner rather than later. There's no online sign-up, so you'll need to contact the organiser directly to grab a place and check timing. It's run in Spanish and Catalan, but sailing is mostly a hands-on, point-and-follow affair, so don't let the language put you off if you're up for it.
