A free summer programme of children's activities (games, workshops, inflatables) rotating around the municipality's neighbourhoods on set dates through July, August and September. Aimed at local families; useful for resident/expat families with kids, with activities run mainly in Spanish.
Granadilla de Abona spreads this out across its plazas and sports grounds, with the council taking the same free programme round the neighbourhoods on set dates through the summer. One afternoon it lands in El Médano, another in Los Blanquitos, Chimiche or El Salto. Expect bouncy castles, craft tables, organised games and a bit of music, with morning sessions starting around ten and most of the action kicking off from five, once the heat eases off.
It is run by and for local families, almost entirely in Spanish, so it is less a tourist outing than a genuine slice of village life. If you have kids and you are based nearby, it is an easy, no-cost way to spend an afternoon among the people who actually live here. Check the local listings for which barrio is hosting on the day.
