Fiestas de la Santíssima Sang 2026 — Dénia
Dénia's patron-saint week brings bull-running in the streets, human towers and concerts to the Costa Blanca.
Dénia's main summer fiesta honours the Santíssima Sang (the Most Holy Blood) across a packed week in early July. The headline events are the bous a la mar — bulls chased along a ring built out over the harbour, where runners (and bulls) end up in the water — alongside bous al carrer in the streets, castells human towers, parades, fireworks and nightly concerts.
What to expect. A loud, full-on Valencian fiesta in a likeable harbour town under its hilltop castle. The bull-into-the-sea spectacle is the signature draw and gets very busy; processions and music fill the rest of the programme.
Practical bit. Dénia anchors the northern Costa Blanca, with the Dénia–Ibiza ferry and the Montgó natural park on the doorstep. Parking is at a premium during fiesta week, so many visitors stay in Jávea or Els Poblets and drive in — a hire car also makes the pretty drives towards Jávea and the Vall de Laguar easy.
