Summer Chords: Celtic Seas Concert (Bahia Bella)

This is the kind of evening you stumble into rather than plan for. On 20 June the Bahia Bella neighbourhood pulls its tables and chairs out onto the street by the Local Social, and a corner of Cartagena that usually goes about its business turns into a place to eat, chat and listen. It starts around half six, while there's still plenty of daylight, and runs into the evening as people drift in.

The music comes from Celtic Seas, a local Cartagena band with a Celtic streak running through their sound, so expect something a bit folkier than your average Spanish summer gig. There's food, there's neighbours catching up, and no ticket to buy. You won't be the only visitor, but you'll feel less like an audience and more like you've been folded into the street party.
