Llum de Mar Seaside Market Nights
Summer evenings on the Vilanova seafront come alive with an open-air market combining craft and food stalls, live music, gastronomy and children's activities. A relaxed, walk-up event that runs across several weekends through late June and July.
Once the heat eases off, the Barri de Mar waterfront in Vilanova fills up with stalls, music and the smell of cooking. Local makers set out craft tables, food vendors fire up the grills, and there's usually a band or two playing as people drift along the front with a drink in hand. It's free to wander in, and the pace is slow rather than packed.
If you've got children in tow, this is an easy one. There are activities laid on to keep them busy while you graze the food stalls and pick up the odd handmade thing. It runs on weekends from late June through July, so you've a fair few evenings to catch it. Come down after dinner, or make a meal of it from the stalls. No tickets, no fuss, just a pleasant few hours by the sea.
