Mira'm Inclusive Arts Showcase
A cultural showcase that promotes social inclusion through the arts, held over two June dates in the grounds and gardens of Benicarló's municipal museum (MucBe). A relaxed open-air setting to see local inclusive arts performances and works.
Mira'm means "look at me", and that's really the spirit of it. Across two June dates, the gardens and grounds of Benicarló's municipal museum, the MucBe, are given over to art made by and with people who don't often get a stage. Expect performances and works that lean on the arts to make a point about inclusion, shown in the open air rather than tucked away behind glass.
It's a low-key, community-minded affair, the sort of thing you stumble into rather than book months ahead for. The MucBe itself is worth the walk regardless, an old convent with quiet courtyards, and on these days there's something genuinely warm going on in the gardens. Worth an hour if you're in town and fancy seeing a side of Benicarló the guidebooks skip.
