Solaris Nerja 2026
Nerja's first big beach festival lands on El Playazo for ten nights of music by the sea.
Nerja has long been the quieter, prettier end of the Costa del Sol — balconies over the sea, whitewashed lanes, none of the high-rise bustle further west. This summer it gets its first proper music festival, Solaris, staged right on El Playazo beach across ten nights in late June. Chambao headline as part of their 25th-anniversary tour, with a line-up that leans into the flamenco-fusion and Spanish-pop sound that suits a warm night by the water.
What to expect. An open-air beach setting, sunset start times and the kind of relaxed crowd that comes for the atmosphere as much as the acts. It's a new event, so check the official line-up and times before you commit to a particular night.
Practical bit. Nerja sits at the eastern edge of Málaga province, about an hour from the airport and not especially well served by late buses. If you're staying along the coast — or fancy pairing the festival with the Cuevas de Nerja and the Balcón de Europa — a hire car makes the evening far less stressful when the music finishes late.
