Sant Pere 2026 — Alcúdia
Mallorca's fishing ports honour their patron saint with boat processions, sea-blessings and harbourside parties.
Sant Pere (Saint Peter) is the patron of fishermen, and on 29 June the harbours of Mallorca celebrate him in the way they know best — out on the water. At Port d'Alcúdia and Port d'Andratx, decorated fishing boats carry the saint's image around the bay, there's a blessing of the fleet, and the quaysides fill with music, food stalls and an evening of fireworks over the marina.
What to expect. A genuinely local, seafaring fiesta rather than a tourist spectacle — at its best in the early evening as the boats set out and the harbour lights come on. Smaller ports across the island mark the day too.
Practical bit. Alcúdia's old walled town and its busy port sit at the top of the island, a fair drive from Palma. With a hire car you can take in the Sant Pere celebrations and the quieter beaches of the north — Platja de Muro, the Albufera wetlands and Cap de Formentor — in the same trip.
