Techno Flamenco Festival (Menorca's First)

Cales Fonts is the obvious place for an open-air party in Es Castell, all stepped quayside and old fishermen's caves down by the water, and on 20 June the car park up in the Varema area gets turned over to it. Doors open at 6.30pm and the night runs on a simple idea: pair the relentless pulse of techno with the wail and clap of flamenco, and see what happens. Marsal Ventura, who has made a name for himself doing exactly this, headlines, with Laia Costa and Dani Delis filling out the bill.

There's a bar and food on site, so you can settle in for the long haul. It's a strictly over-18s affair, the town's way of launching the summer fiesta season. Tickets are sold in advance online rather than on the gate, so sort yours before you turn up.
