Cris Juanico in Concert (with band)

This one kicks off Sant Lluís's whole summer of events, and it does so out in the open air at Pla de Sa Creu, the square right in the middle of town. Cris Juanico is a familiar voice on Menorca: a singer-songwriter people here have followed for years, and this time he brings a full band rather than playing solo.

The songs are in Catalan, so you won't catch every word, but that hardly matters once the music gets going. It's a relaxed, local sort of night, the kind where families wander down, neighbours stop to chat, and you can sit under the evening sky and just listen. A gentle, genuine way to hear what the island actually sounds like, well away from the resort playlists.
