Anna Rodriguez & Eliseo Lloreda: Live in Concert

Anna Rodriguez and Eliseo Lloreda have been playing together since 2007, and it shows. Their set leans on jazz standards and bossa nova, with a handful of their own songs threaded through, and the whole thing is built around close listening rather than big production. Expect a quiet, attentive room where the music does the talking.

The Teatro Cine Realejos is an old converted cinema, small enough that you feel near the stage wherever you sit. The pair keep things intimate, so you catch the detail in the playing and the pauses between numbers. At six euros it is an easy, low-key evening, and because the draw is the music itself, you do not need a word of Spanish to follow along. Doors are for 8.30pm on the Friday.
