Festival Boreal 2026 (World Music Festival)
A boutique open-air world-music festival in the town of Los Silos, with an eclectic genre-fusion lineup including Daddy G (Massive Attack) DJ set, Aterciopelados, Imarhan, Hempress Sativa and many more. Music is universal, so no Spanish needed to enjoy it.
Los Silos is a quiet town on Tenerife's green northwest coast, and for two nights in mid-September it fills with sound from half the planet. Boreal is the small, well-curated sort of festival where the lineup jumps from Tuareg desert blues to Colombian rock to Jamaican reggae across a single weekend, with Daddy G of Massive Attack closing things out on the decks. Stages go up around the town centre and play out under the open sky, so you drift between acts on foot rather than slogging across a muddy field.
You won't need a word of Spanish to follow any of it. Bring cash for the bars, expect things to run late in the proper island fashion, and let yourself wander into a band you've never heard of. Children aged three to twelve get in for five euros, and the under-threes go free.
